There is a town in the far north of Australia.
It’s the kind of place which grows on you slowly.
At times it could be described as a melting pot.
At other times a place of clear skies, mango ice cream and sundress clad sunsets.
And in the middle of it all, visible from all aspects of this crispy city is Castle Hill.
It’s cliff face a dusty red in the setting sun, a place for daily nature based migrations.
Then there is an island oh so magnetic not far from shore.
Hopping over its granite boulders, diving into its clear-ish water gives a sense of freedom.
But the most amazing thing about the city, is the thing that builds over time.
It’s the people who become your friends from across the country and the globe.
It’s the sense of community uniting those that decide to make this place home.
Thank you to so many people who have firmly fixed this place in my heart.
