What is it to enter a new year? Possibly, a reason to have a larger than life party with a bunch of brilliant humans. Or maybe it is more? What if passing from one year to the next is a clearing of the slate. And at the same time a consolidation of all the years already lived. What if the act of coming together - of sharing space and time is in fact a mini modern day ritual? The celebration offering an opportunity to take a breath in reflection, and recognise treasures experienced during a lap around the sun.
A time to reflect, to laugh, to sit together.
Asking questions to better understand life experiences of those we share this final day of 2019. Those thoughtful discussions exploring differences and similarities - allowing us to create meaningful connections which build integrity and strength in friendships like the mycelium growing in the roots of trees allowing the sharing of energy and resources for the strength of the entire forest.
To laugh a lot. To play with reckless abandon. To be authentic in our appreciation of each other.
What a beautiful way to welcome in 2020. What an exquisite collection of friends, new and old. The essence of this group of friends is truly embodied by the namesake of their piece of land - Quinta dos Amigos. What an honour to dance into this newest decade with you all. Jo and Daniel, you are too special for words.
